Vaibhav Bajpai is a PhD student in the Computer Networks and Distributed Systems research group at Jacobs University Bremen , Germany. He is advised by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Schönwälder .
His current research focuses on understanding the impact of network infrastructure changes using Large-Scale Measurement Platforms. As part of the research, he is working on defining new metrics and measurement tests and is also contributing to the Large Scale Measurement of Access Network Performance (LMAP) standardization process in the IETF.
Previously, he has worked on the area of network traffic analysis and developed NFQL, a tool used to efficiently query network flow records. He also has been active in the NETCONF community by contributing several feature upgrades and bugfixes to open-source projects. He has also performed studies on evaluating the repercussions of transitioning to IPv6.
He received his Masters degree in Computer Science from Jacobs University Bremen , Germany in 2012, and his Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, India in 2009. He worked as a systems engineer at Infosys Technologies Limited , India for a year before coming to Germany.
