Vaibhav Bajpai


Dr. Vaibhav Bajpai is a postdoctoral fellow at TUM, Germany. He works with Prof. Jörg Ott. He received his PhD (2016) and Masters (2012) degrees in Computer Science from Jacobs University Bremen, Germany where he was advised by Prof. Jürgen Schönwälder. He is the recipient of the ACM SIGCOMM (2018) best paper award and IEEE COMSOC award (2017) for the best dissertation in network and service management. He is interested in data-driven techniques to study future Internet protocols and web/video content delivery to help better manage mobile and fixed-line networks. He serves on the regular TPC of IFIP Networking, IM/NOMS and IFIP TMA. He has also previously served on the TPC of CONEXT QUIC 2018, SIGCOMM BIG-DAMA 2018, ACM CoNEXT Student Workshop 2017. He is a co-organiser of the Dagstuhl Seminar on Encouraging Reproducibility in Scientific Research of the Internet, 2018 and TMA Shadow TPC, 2018. He is also the coordinator of the Munich Internet Research Retreat (2018, 2017) and the Dagstuhl seminar on Global Measurements: Practise and Experience (2016). He has been involved in H2020 SSICLOPS, FP7 Leone and Flamingo projects.
